Yes it has been 1200 years since i last posted. But these Tarte products doe.

I feel like even though I haven't posted in a long time, this still somehow feels immediately cathartic. Makeup and the release that comes with locking myself in a room alone with some amazing music and just doing anything I want with my cosmetics is one of the only times I really get to know me. The colors I love, the attitude i'm feeling in that moment, the weird sense of freedom putting on a dark lipstick I would never have the courage to wear out in public on.

Aside from my rambling I really did miss posting, but I wasn't making time for me and the things I love. That isn't happening anymore, its time to love me, do the things that make me happy, continue on my weight loss and healthy lifestyle change and get back to learning more about who i am every step of the way.

Now lets talk Tarte products. Personally I never really had an opinion on them because I never used them! I always saw the pretty packaging in Sephora but my word are they expensive! In result of that I always kind of walked by. But a couple weeks ago I got a package with some beauty products in it and low and behold a handful of things from Tarte.

I'm a clay/gel pot liner kind of girl all the way, paired with my Mac 266, that is when I feel like I am at the top of my cat eye game. So naturally when i spotted the Tarte Clay Pot Waterproof Liner in my magical beauty box I went straight for it. At $21.00 a pot this is a bit pricey for me. I typically stick with the Blacktrack gel liner from MAC which only puts me back $16.00.

The Tarte Clay Pot Liner in Black

First impression of the liner was it was way smoother and creamier then the gel liners I am used to. I always put a good little dab on my hand cause it warms up the product and makes it easier to work with. When I first applied it to my brush it was so soft and easy to get the perfect amount I needed, and the application,,, to quote Mike Meyers in Coffee Talk circa 1995 it was "Like Butttta" All in all I loved it, super easy going on and long lasting, Definitely worth the money. I will for sure be replacing this when its all gone.

Another thing I got from Tarte was the Tartelette Pallet, this sells at $44.00 which is a pretty standard price for eye pallets, not to mention it has quite a few colors in it, twelve to be exact.

Colors Left to right
Top- Free spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer, MultiTasker
Middle- Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend, Bombshell
Bottom- Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player, Fashionista

This palette has honestly become my everyday got to since I got it. I can not name one day I have gone in 2 weeks where I haven't used it. If you love matte neutrals like I do then this product is worth every single penny spent. Not only does it have peachy beauties on the top but the roses in that middle row... #swoon. an the bottom row oh my goodness the warm smokey colors are to die for. The product itself is so soft an pigmented, it is definitely buildable. But it translates from pallet to skin beautifully, coming out really true to color.  I honestly feel like I could use this pallet in place of every nude/neutral other one I have and I would never complain.

I am very impressed with the couple things I have used from Tarte so far. It's making me reconsider the fact that I care if they are a little pricier then I am used to. I also have the Park Ave Princess contour pallet in my possession though I haven't used it yet, thinking it might be time to try it out.
